It's just all about cycling...
So, this is just a glimpse on the analysis of a HR tuning ride. Day begins as usual, woke up, freshened up, kit up, checked air and hits the road. I don't consume anything before the ride, just a glass of water.
Day's training was an easy ride, clips on the cleat and hits the GST towards Porur bypass. Which is basically my training grounds.
I just love this stretch, kind of become like close my eyes and ride route! It doesn't have any technical sections; The to & fro is roughly 34 kms, with an elevation of roughly 100m.
The intention was to take it slow within the HR limits, so shifted gear to 5th sprocket from the bigger one in the cassette. And it was providing a speed range of 27 kms to ~36kms with cadence varying from 60-90 rpm. HR was playing nice and smooth, from 110-130 bpm. At times peaking to 140 during climbs, which was extremely comfortable.
Riding in z1 & z2 saves one everything! Right from energy to water! I just sipped little every 15kms to keep me hydrated and by end of the ride there was 300ml remaining out of 400ml. :-P
The average power was also decent to keep the pedal spinning without any trouble or fatigue.
If the same can be mastered the 30avg with sub 130 HR is just too good to sustain for a 100kms, leading to a easy 100kms in sub3 over the time in a few weeks.
These are the beauty of 5. One of the best ride! Feel the power of 5.
Thank you :)

Totalling a distance of 36 kms for 1hr 20 mins was good for 108 power and 27.2 avg leading to an HR of 125 avg bpm, which was extremely satisfactory.
